thanks, all. I am not in possession of the dog. I left her in the parking lot, hoping she would go home. there are several neighborhoods around, and I don't have any way of keeping her.

Put a post on the neighborhood Nextdoor maybe someone will recognize it and know who the owner is. Please don't take to the shelter it could be euthanized after the 3 day hold if not claimed by owner. Any veterinarian office can scan for a microchip for free and no appointment needed. Make sure the person claiming the dog has proof of ownership...photos or veterinarian records etc. Hope the owner is found soon 🙏
