Is anyone missing a puppy? This puppy showed up at my front door late tonight, scratching to get inside. When I opened the door, I found it in very poor condition — severely infested with fleas and worms. It was heartbreaking to see. I immediately gave the puppy a bath and carefully removed as many fleas as possible by hand. I’ve also been searching online and through local missing pet posts but haven’t found anyone looking for this puppy yet. Tomorrow I plan to take the puppy to the vet to check for a microchip. If no owner is found, I would love to help keep and care for it, but I may need assistance with vet expenses and supplies. I truly can’t imagine what might have happened if I hadn’t opened my door tonight. Please share this post in case someone recognizes this puppy or can help.
