Likely within 5 or 6 houses away. Ask neighbours to check sheds, garages and under decks and bushes. Go out with flashlight when quiet and dark. Get posters up asap. Leave soiled article of your clothing outside to draw home. Leave door open a few inches and kitty may walk inside typically between 2 and 4 am. Motion lights and security cameras are really helpful. Make sure your microchip information is up to date or it will be useless. Good luck!

Attached is Information to help find your Lost Cat Start the calling method as soon as you realize your cat is missing. Call from where your cat went missing. Call it’s name repeatedly for 10 mins. Repeat that every 30 mins while shaking treats and listening to hear if it responds by calling back. Consistency is key. Your cat will likely be very scared and very close by. Use a flashlight when searching at night when it is quieter, as their eyes reflect the light when they are hidden in shrubs etc. Many indoor cats return when its quiet and dark, usually 10pm-6:30am, if possible leave your door/window open slightly for it to return. Put out some of your smelliest worn clothing (runners, sweaty shirts and socks) with your scent on and keep calling for it frequently as it will likely hear your voice and work out the direction of your home. Replace clothing each day so that the strong scent is maintained. It may take a few days for it to get the confidence to return. DO NOT place a cat litter tray out as this may attract other cats, especially Tom cats and predators which will frighten your cat away. Search your yard and your neighbors yards/patios/garage/sheds/bushes thoroughly. If possible, put posters up in your neighbourhood to inform neighbours that your cat is missing. Ask neighbours if they would kindly check their sheds etc in case your cat was accidentally locked inside one of them. Put some worn clothing outside from a door or window leave slightly, leave slightly open if possible, they are known to return either later at night or early morning, please don’t put the kitty litter tray out as it attracts predators. 🙏🙏🙏🙏💕 Shared
