Description

Toby is 6 months old, orange, male tabby kitten with a fluffy tail that is stripped at the end. He sometimes has crooked or short whiskers since he loves to play with his friends at . Toby is very talkative, & he loves to snore in his sleep. He is not nurtured, if you call him by his name he listens. He looks a bit larger for his age, but still is a baby. Toby is not an outside cat, he is used to playing outside under supervision but never stays for long or goes far. Toby’s eyes are grey/green, pink nose & he has furry cute ears too, very playful and sweet kitten. Toby likes to be petted but he does squirm if you hold him for too long & he will cry to put him down. He’s still the sweetest kitty and loves to jump on the bed to cuddle with you when he’s ready. Toby does not have a collar on because he is an inside cat, but He loves his wet food, he gets a long with other cats, and his crying/meowing doesn’t not sound like any other cat, the best way I can describe it is he has kind of a “smoker” crying voice.

Message from Owner

Toby means the whole world to our family. He is a beloved, beautiful kitten that I rescued on a very hot day outside in july of 2025. Toby was not a lone, he had 4 other siblings, so of course I took them all in & cared for each & every single one of them, bottle fed them every couple of hours. When I found Toby he had barely just opened his eyes, was about 3 weeks old, he was the tinniest thing. I immediately knew I had to keep him, he was so gorgeous & not like any other cat I had seen ever before. Toby at 3 weeks old was the fluffiest, most orange with bluest-eye cat in the whole litter (his eye color did change with time & is now a grey/green shade). Toby immediately stood out & I knew he was going to be mine forever despite me having 2 adult cats already & 4 dogs. But as you can guess I love animals & i definitely fell inlove with the kitten so he stayed (every other cat except 1 went to loving s, my twin sister kept one of his sister’s, her name is tuna & she is also missing Toby a lot right now). I love all my pets but Toby was someone so special to me, we are very attached to one another. Me and my boyfriend rushed him to urgent vet about an hour away from 2 different times when he gotten sick all of a sudden, he made a full recovery but was on very expensive for about a month each time we took him into the vet. I gave him his daily medicine everyday, sometimes multiple times in a day. The first time he was on 3 different s & the last time he went in he was on 2 more. He is all better now but he did lose some whiskers along the way from the medicine, they eventually grew back. After getting sick he was on a very strict diet, no kibble. I would serve him his plate with boiled chicken, boiled eggs, boiled potato pumpkin purée, and gave him dairy free Greek yogurt. He loved every meal i made him & eventually as he gotten better I gave him more cat food like kibble & wet can food but I still made him his homemade meals from time to time. Toby escaped on the morning of Thursday December 11th, it’s only been 1 day but it feels like forever. I woke up getting ready for work, when I realized something was wrong, I just had a feeling he was gone & as I turned the whole hse upside down to look for him, I realized he was not even . I called off work yesterday & today, dedicated the whole entire day just to look for him. I constantly searched for him for 14-15 long hours. I ran, walked, drove around the whole neighborhood more times than you could even imagine. It is the next morning right now & I am sick from being out in the cold all day yelling for him, but that doesn’t stop anybody, I won’t ever give up looking for him. I will forever search for my boy Toby, we need him back desperately. While we searched, I asked around to my neighbors, I even put up 16 large signs of my missing cat all around the neighborhood, on the back of my wooden fence i stapled many of them for people to see as they drive past, & there’s still more to go. Toby escaped from my hse in the morning of the 11th when someone at my went out & didn’t realize he had also followed, it was mishap. We are so desperate to find our baby, please contact me on here or my number is you see or hear anything. I know this was very long message but thank you to anyone who took their time out of their day to even read & acknowledge this.

Put some recently worn clothing of yours as far as you can in different directions around your property and if in fact that Toby had wandered far enough to lose their scent of familiarity of home gets replaced with some great scents of other neighbors and pets and if they were close enough to roads and carbon monoxide is the number one thing that causes pets to "get lost" and wandering around. The best way to put clothing in a perimeter at different places close to the ground at their level and it helps your familiar smell get spread out and take a small handful of a favorite type of treat or dry cat food that won't spoil if left outside for a few days. Thoughts and Prayers for you.

Call softly late night early morning when it quite out .. For indoor cat if there is any way you could leave your door garage door or window slightly ajar if possible they know where they got out .. cats will hide during the day and are more active late evening near dark to early morning , daybreak ... have a spot light to shine to see eyes in the dark or night vision goggles if available .. they are usually close by and will often come back to the door .. or hide under bushes or decks to feel safe ! Also check crawl spaces under houses , garages, sheds of neighbors nearby ... check culvert pipes .. storm drains .. up trees .. and colder weather they will get under car hoods for warmth and on tires also ...this can happen and they could be miles from home . Cats in a new home need at least 30 days to adjust to a new area and may and will travel to get back to their old home .. A set trap may be needed and monitored! Trail cam help to monitor the areas! Post to Nextdoor Ask neighbors to check their Ring Doorbells... Beware of loose and roaming dogs in the area as they will chase and your cats! For automatic garage doors please place a 6x6 block or cinder block so that the door will not come all the way down and trap your pet as they can be injured! Check with area Shelters, Animal Control, and Vets offices also put flyers ... Am sure you have tried most all of these! Don't give up!!

Mine hid for days. Probably scared. Look at night with a flashlight. Look under sheds, in sheds, in trees, storm drains, etc. Call softly for him. Put out some really stinky food, tuna or sardines. Google how to find lost cat. Praying he returns very soon! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

He may be hiding nearby during the daytime. Look for him quietly after dark.
