Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Do you know how he got out? Most kitties try to come back in the way they got out... especially if they’re not used to going out... if you can and it’s safe, prop open the door he went out (especially at night)... that’s when they feel safer to make the attempt to come back… Do not sit outside or wait by the door… If you have other pets, which most people do, secure them in a separate room. I work with rescues and trust me, this works! You don’t want to just leave food out because they’ll simply eat the food and run back to their hiding spot. By propping the door open, he went out, he will try to come back in that way, especially when they’re hungry. Praying he returns soon …keep the lighting low. They feel safer in low to no light … that’s why they usually try to come back in at night…keep us posted🙏🏻🐾

Put an article of clothing with your scent on it on your porch close to where she got out. Cats have a wonderful sense of smell and will come to those items. Leave a window cracked nearby so that you can hear her. Cats usually don’t go more than a few houses in any direction, so post pictures around the neighborhood and on doors. Ask neighbors to keep an eye out and to check garages and sheds. Cats hide, usually fairly close by. They tend to come out after dark, so look for her then. Call and rattle a treat can if she likes those. If you put food out, stay close by, because it will also attract other animals that might scare her away. Don't leave it out very long. Also, go in person to shelters and vets' offices, and leave a picture and phone number there. I hope you find her!
