Message from Finder

We found this baby this morning (July 14th), on our front porch looking for shelter from the rain. I do not know if it’s a male or female. I was leaving for work and asked my husband to dry it and keep it inside the hse with water and food. It has a collar, no tag. I think the collar is orange. Very nice dog, but poor thing was very frightened.

Post to Nextdoor app for your area https://neighbors.ring.com All Georgia Lost Pets Georgia's missing pets Lost Dogs Georgia Put up large brightly colored signs in the area. Go online and notify the shelter since family will look there and legally it's required. Require proof of ownership/vet records and photos. Have the dog FULL BODY scanned (chips can migrate from the neck area) at a vets office for a chip, any emergency vet can scan too. PetSmart Banfield have scanners too

Thanks for rescuing it. Free microchip scans can be done at any veterinarian, PetSmart, PetCo or shelter. It may help it be reunited with owner. Contact the shelter-people that lose pets look there. Post on Facebook Lost and Found, Nextdoor, Ring. Bright colored signs near where it was found. Some dogs will walk you back to their home if you put them in a leash. It probably lives close.
