Hey—your contact info is not available via PawBoost for some reason. I need to ask you some questions about this cat. Ironically, I found a gray tabby about a week ago now that was also wobbly (in this case, severely). I made a post to the Chandler, AZ Lost & Found Pets - Dogs / Cats page the day-of, regarding the cat I saw with the same issue & has the same description (for the little bit I got from my interaction, at least). For the one I saw, it was night time, so I was unable to tell if it was a male or female. It had gotten too far onto someone’s driveway/under their vehicles for me to get it. I didn’t have a trap on me (nor do I own one), but I tried getting the cat with a sweater I had from the backseat of my car—to no avail. The cat I saw with essentially the same uncanny description was laying (in a “just chillin” position) on the curb inlet of the street. When I saw this while driving (off Chandler Blvd & Evergreen St, getting onto Toledo St from Evergreen St), I worried for the cat as it was partially in the road. I then got out of my car to gently shoo it so that it wasn’t so close into the street. But when I did this & it got up, is when I saw that it was *extremely* wobbly. My next initial thought & concern was that it has gotten hit & was walking so wobbly from being injured from impact of a car hitting it. As I tried slowly getting closer (at this point, I was absolutely torn & was trying to get it so that I could take it to the 1st PetVet on Alma School & Warner to get looked at/surrendered to for further health assistance), I saw it was salivating a lot (basically drooling). Since it was dark, I couldn’t tell if it was blood or not, so (honestly), I touched the “possible-saliva” for blood. Fortunately, it wasn’t blood & was just saliva. Mind you, when I say “extremely wobbly”, I don’t mean “somewhat”, or “leaning a bunch”—I mean *severely* wobbling. Like, it couldn’t walk a straight line whatsoever, in any way shape or form—if its life depended on it (which it quite *literally* does). After some time of trying to calmly gain its trust, it wouldn’t budge—hiding further out of my ability to capture it. I left it a paper bowl of wet cat food that I keep it the backseat of my car. Directly from that, when I got home (which is just down the same small street from where I came about this cat), I Googled the symptoms I’d witnessed of the cat. In doing so, it seems as though that it could be a condition called “Ataxia” (…or a form of Ataxia, at least—as there are a few different forms of it), & is very likely what I was witnessing from this cat (if not from injury via car impact). While typing this, I just remembered that the cat did had a tipped ear, indicating that it has been TnR’d. My next thought was that if this poor cat did/does have Ataxia, how cruel, unfair, & unreasonable it is to have cats with this condition (or whatever form of it) to be released back to the streets. There is not a chance in a cat like this could survive for very long in the streets—*especially* considering how people FLY down our small neighborhood streets. I mean, **FLY** down them. This cat won’t be able to run in a straight/accurate line/direction to avoid getting hit (at any point). So, as I mentioned before, I took this to the Chandler Lost & Found Pets page & made a post saying all or what I just said here, & asking for any additional help from anybody to get this poor cat trapped & taken to the 1st PetVet around the corner to get looked at. Now in seeing the email I got/this post, I am wondering if something more sinister possibly going on, & what the chances could really be that you found a cat with a form of Ataxia, & I also found a cat with a form of Ataxia, & fairly close within proximity of the other. Granted, they’re still a little ways down Chandler Blvd of one another (for cats, at least), but it just seems especially odd to me that we both may have come across a cat with this condition/a form of it, & what else it could potentially mean. I am (& where the cat I found with the same description—from the few descriptors I managed to get, at least) was/is off Chandler Blvd & N Sunset (across the street from the Fairways Apts off Chandler Blvd—right between Chandler Blvd & Arizona Ave & Chandler Blvd & Alma School). Since remembering that the cat I saw having a tipped ear with this (possibly same) situation/condition as the one you found, I am unable to notice any tipped ear on the photo of the cat you found—so if that is the case, I’m not quite sure where else I’m going with this anymore.. but I am growing more concerned about the coincidence of us both possibly coming across a cat with Ataxia (& within such close timeframes, & within fairly close proximity), & what else could be going on/what else this could mean. Please let me know if the one you found does, in fact, have a tipped ear or not (just in case I’m somehow missing something on the photo you provided), & anything else that may have stood out to you, or if the testimony of the one I found stands out to you in any way. Myself & another woman who responded to my post on the Chandler Lost & Found Pets page have been frequenting the area where I had come into contact & had the aforementioned interaction of the cat with to still try our hand at getting the cat to the 1st PetVet to find anything health-related out, & if there is anything more than can be done, cause I absolutely do not feel confident that this poor cat will last with it not having otherwise quality survival skills due to the severe wobbling, or a way to get the sweet cat into a loving, responsible home where it’ll be safe from (I hate to say it, but probably inevitably) getting hit by a car, or any other typical safety issues it can [be] face(ing). Moreover, thank you so much for giving the cat you found the time, effort, energy, & attention it needs, & for taking it to the 1st PetVet to also have it looked at (cause I was/am/have been *literally* planning to do the *exact* same thing with the one I found that has what seems to be the same situation, health-wise, going on—if myself &/or anyone able/willing to help), & for giving the cat such compassion & love in the meantime. 🥺🖤🐾 I hope the one you found ends up in a safe, loving, responsible, attentive, & accommodating home, as I continue my hand at figuring out the same for the one I recently found with what might be the exact same ‘issue’ (for lack of better wording).

Heat exhaustion? What kind of vet was that? Call Arizona animal welfare league or Arizona Humane or other rescues. Please don’t put it back in street. If it’s sick it’s cruel. What did that stupid vet office say? What kind of exam did they do?
