Message from Owner

My daughter was waiting for her grandmother to take our cat Luna to the vet. While she was on the phone with her grandmother, Luna got spooked and somehow figured out how to escape her carrier. When my daughter tried to grab her she hissed and scratched her bad before running off. We searched around our apmt building but we couldn't find her. She does have her collar on with her name tag with my contact information. Please if found call the number on the tag or send an email. My daughter is heartbroken. We had her since she was a very little kitten.

Carole Johnston Luring rarely works to get an indoor only from under your house, they have to physically look w a flashlight and coax them out, but litter definitely can work for indoor/outdoor cats bc they go farther to a nbor that saw it and fed it or local feeder.

Kevin FitzMaurice Please always advise to check under your house, nbors, and closest openings first with a flashlight. I’ve found a lot and thats where indoor only are always when they first get out. Also with Pawboost and these places owners rarely are on their post so you have to click ‘contact owner’ which sadly most don’t put their # but use an email threw these companies. It’s the worse idea ever. If the hundreds I’ve contacted maybe 3 have responded. Not sure if they messages or like in my/the lost groups, most don’t care and never look. Just post on fb.

If chipped contact your microchip company and make sure your information is updated and file a lost cat report there Some people suggest leaving a door open alittle bit may come home on there own Put something with scent there also Bedding your unwashed clothing Litter box anything that has your cats scent Cats are night creatures May try to come home early morning while dark and try to get back inside This works well Also Go outside and sit down on the ground so she can see your face not feet and calmly call name If likes treats shake bag and listen for meowing could be stuck in a garage or shed or under porches Check out the neighbors and let them know that your kitty is missing Check out the shelters in person and take a flyer or photo there also If all else fails put out a HUMANE trap then with wet food or tuna and cover with a towel to keep calm and warm if caught and check it out every 2hours and don't leave overnight unattended You can face the entrance of the trap towards a window or door to keep a better eye on it. Prayers sent Flyers everywhere

Please check nearby storm drains and sewer pipes, vehicle engines and tire wells, plus attics and bats, garages and sheds, bushes and trees, and under buildings and porches. Good luck.
