Post on Nextdoor in Cat Owner's group, and in Lost and Found Pets group, post on Neighbors app, and turn on the Search Party feature. Search Party is a Ring Neighbors app feature (rolling out in late 2025/early 2026) that uses AI to help locate lost dogs by scanning neighboring outdoor cameras. When a dog is reported missing, the system scans recent recordings for matches, alerting camera owners to share footage voluntarily. The feature is opt-in and works with Ring doorbells and cameras. This video explains how the Search Party feature helps to reunite lost dogs with their owners:AI-Powered Searching: If a neighbor reports a lost dog, the system uses AI to scan nearby participating Ring outdoor cameras (doorbells, floodlights, spotlights) for a visual match based on the description.Privacy-First Design: While the feature may be active, the camera owner must approve sharing any footage with the neighbor looking for their pet, ensuring they maintain control.Access Requirements: The feature works on Ring doorbells and outdoor cameras in the U.S.. Additionally, users without cameras can now report lost pets in the Ring app.How to Opt-Out: To turn off the feature, navigate to the Ring app, go to the menu, select Control Center, then Neighbors Settings, and toggle off Search Party.Functionality: Currently focused on finding lost dogs, with plans to expand to other pets in future updates.

Give flyers to neighbors, postal workers/ mail carriers, delivery people, dog walkers, joggers, daily walkers. Put them on posts,on porches, in nearby cages, in apartment buildings, parks, nearby stores, markets, businesses, veterinary clinics and pet stores, File a Lost report with the local animal shelter, and check the shelter a couple of times a week ,bring proof of ownership when you go there; Vet bills, vaccine records, pictures Put up Lost flyers in the neighborhood where the cat is lost. Pawboost, Petcolovelost, 24Petconnect,LostMyKitty offer free flyers for download ,they ask for specific information and create a flyer with it. This flyer is on Canva.com, you can change the words and picture to what you want on the site

Go out tonight, with a flashlight and a bag of cat treats, search the property, with a flashlight, look under the house, look in crawl spaces, look under the porch, walk the neighborhood, look under vehicles,in the wheel wells, look in and around bushes and shrubbery,up trees, in between and behind buildings, shine light on rooftops,on windowsills,on upper level decks, when your searching, use the light to expose the eye shine,or reflective glow of the cat's eyes, Calmly call the cat's name ,then shake the treat bag.Ealk throughout the neighborhood searching for the cat, call it's name, then shaking the treat bag every night after sunset, and again late night to right before dawn 10,11 pm- 4 am
