Put a sign on your lawn Lost Cat. Put up flyers all over the neighborhood, offering a reward but don't mention an amount. Many people, particularly kids, will actually look for a cat if money is involved. Ask neighbors to check in and behind sheds and garages where a kitty could get stuck...Post on websites of shelters in the area as well as vet and groomer offices. Give mail carriers a flyer too. They get around the neighborhood and often see missing pets. Set a trap in a sheltered area of your yard and check it often. Even house cats that are tame are difficult to catch outside as they freak out when suddenly finding themselves outside. So a trap is a sensible way to catch a lost cat. You may get other people's cats, or even racoons at first, but still worth the effort to get yours home. Prayers for a safe return😇😇

Remember, scent items are very important. And go out and calmly talk and call her like you normally would. They sense distress in your voice and will not come or respond so be calm. Also look up in trees under porches/decks, look at night with a flashlight as their eyes glow in the light. If possible set up cameras. She wants to come back, she is just scared and needs guidance. Cats hunker down when they are afraid so try to help her find her way back. She will try to come back in the way she got out so keep a point of entry open if at all possible. Good luck 🤞🙏

Make a shelter for him with some clothes with your scent on them as well as some smelly food like sardines in it. If possible, keep the door that he got out if open slightly and if that doesn't work I used Kelly Brach from Professional Pet Trackers to help find my cat that was missing for 2 weeks. She has 3 highly trained dogs that track the cat's scent. Her dog pinpointed the location and we set traps and 3 days later caught the cat. This cat was a Foster and not familiar or bonded with us. He was caught in the bushes 3 houses away from us and that was exactly where the dog led us. I would not have believed it unless I saw it myself. So important to know about this service.
