Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

TIPS TO HELP: *NO LITTER BOXES/SOILED LITTER OUTSIDE, it is a myth. Please avoid putting a dirty litterbox out, it will attract predators like coyotes. Coyotes will/can pick up the strong, concentrated odor from a dirty litter box from up to a mile away. https://cat-world.com/should-you-put-a-litterbox-outside-for-a-lost-cat/?fbclid=IwAR0iVyyEcvQTVam2hFIxCFjBWDWSlR5yyAt_rWvjHTiGB-x2wuvWBaO-5OA . . **LARGE, BRIGHT SIGNS, GET THEM UP, SIGNS ARE VITAL FOR SIGHTINGS. PUSH IN THE GROUND CORRUGATED PLASTIC SIGNS ARE VITAL FOR SIGHTINGS... DO THIS WITHIN THE FIRST 24 TO 48 HOURS. SIGNS HELP BRING PETS HOME. CORRUGATED SIGNS WITH THE “H” STAND: available at Lowe’s, Home Depot and if you need more of a quantity buy online through Amazon. Buy the larger sizes 24 x36 or 32x48. . . Do not wait it out or depend just on flyers & social media. Larger the better, bright signs get attention. Signs vs flyers - signs can make a huge difference in whether your cat is recognized as missing and you being contacted sooner. . . Place signs at all intersections, up & down streets, entrances to subdivisions in the area where the cat was last seen or lost from. . . INCLUDE ON ALL FLYERS, SIGNS/POSTERS: *LOST CAT across the top *CONTACT INFORMATION at the bottom, 2 phone numbers are best. *LOCATION LOST FROM OR LAST SEEN IN *DESCRIPTION, SKITTISH/DO NOT CHASE OR CALL OUT TO, MICROCHIPPED *PICTURE encased in a plastic report cover or large zip lock bag, use waterproof tape to seal and attach to signs/posters. (when attaching turn the cover upside down/so the opening is at the bottom before taping). Walgreens can make a stack of pictures that have a stiffer paper that is coated. . . *Check your neighbors' garages and sheds, under vehicles, wooded areas. Cats that are strictly indoor cats tend to not venture far from their home. Check during dusk, dawn and at night, the cat will likely be hiding during the day when it is the busiest outside. . . *Contact all shelters, vets in the area by pm and email, drop flyers off at nearby vet offices. If the cat is microchipped contact the company the chip is registered to, and they will mark the cat as lost and send alerts out to vets as well. . . *Traps If the cat has been sighted you can get a 32-inch trap at Tractor Supply/feed store bait it with strong smelling tuna, canned cat food, check the trap often, it may attract raccoon, opossum, you will need to release them and rebait the trap. Be sure if using a single layer hand towel on the floor of the trap it does not prevent the trigger plate from closing the door when the cat steps on it. Do not bunch clothing up and place it in the trap. You can hang clothes with your scent on the outside, back end of the trap. You can also purchase a field camera at Walmart or a sporting goods store, you can monitor the trap using an app on your phone, laptop, it will alert you of movement in/near the trap. (Written by C.Moore - Florida Lost & Found Dogs & Cats - FAA Thermal Drones & Resources - NEW GROUP, we provide a list of verified with the FAA Thermal Drone Pilots) . . DO NOT GET SCAMMED... IF CONTACTED BY SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE ABLE TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR PET DO NOT PRE-PAY OR BOOK A SEARCH ONLINE.... THAT IS A SCAM. LEGIT LICENSED FAA THERMAL DRONE PILOTS MEET WITH YOU IN PERSON; PAYMENT IS COLLECTED AFTER THE SEARCH.

We put out all the scents. Old blankets, his scratch post, his empty dirty litter box, vacuum dust etc. My nextdoor neighbor would see him trying to return during the day while we were at work. Then get scared and run off into nearby woods. I started setting my alarm for 3am while it was quiet and go out calling him. Finally after 5 days I heard him crying in very thick bushes Nextdoor to our house. I saw his eyes with my flashlight. I had to literally crawl to get him. He was like afraid to move. I finally got him . They usually don’t travel far. They will hunker down close by.
