Message from Owner

We miss our baby Fox so much! She’s a sweet indoor cat and is probably very confused and scared. We are offering a reward for finding her and turning her in. She has two sisters at and we are all heart broken. Thank you so much for your help!

🌸🍃🐾And heres a check list of a few things that may help for outside 🐾Contact the local vets 🐾Contact the Pound (Everyday & go in.) 🐾Place used litter box outside. 🐾Place a piece of clothing that you have worn a lot at Both doors. 🐾Put cat bed outside exit point. 🐾Leave a door open if You can. 🐾Check under decks, in sheds & garages & up trees. Check roof. 🐾Cats are masters at hiding and may be very scared. 🐾Ask your neighbours to check their sheds & garages. 🐾Put water out. 🐾Best times to look for them are dusk or first light. 🐾Take a flashlight with you, cats' eyes will reflect back. 🐾They won't likely come to you when called. You will need to really listen for their cry. 🐾Rattle a bag or tin of treats & speak softly so as not to alarm them. 🐾Or walk around with hot BBQ Chicken is really good! 🐾Check up trees, on roof, in shrubs. 🐾See if there are other cat owners near you who will help. 🐾Put up flyers (with a current photo of your animal) in local shops/community boards/pet shops/take away shops etc 🐾Put an ad in the local newspaper/school newsletter 🐾Post in facebook groups & Surrounding Area 🐾Write on your vehicle windows with dry eraser that you lost your cat & add a picture. 🐾Door knock your local area. Hope He comes home soon.💜🐾🍃

NB.. I would keep checking all pound websites daily including RSPCA and Animal Welfare League websites (lost pets can find themselves in shelters out of their area depending on capacity levels at the time). WHAT LOST CATS DO: The Missing Animal Response Network has found that: They’re unlikely to be at a shelter or pound Only 2% of cats are found at shelters. Most cats either come home on their own (very rare for a scaredy cat or tame foster cat) or are found from doing an active search of your own, and neighbours’, properties. They’re probably nearby Being territorial, cats usually stay very close to where they got out, especially if they’re scaredy cats. Confident cats may explore a little more. They’ll be silent and won’t respond when you call At home, they might drive you nuts with miaowing when they’re hungry, but now, they’re frightened. Very frightened. To keep themselves safe, they will usually be completely silent. They won’t miaow or call for you, even if injured. So there’s little point calling for them (edited….though I personally would call them) as it’s unlikely they will come, no matter how much you shake the munchies tin. Annoying! They’ll go hungry They will often hide until starvation forces them to move (7 to 14 days). You need to search for them Most cats are found from really thorough searching of nearby properties. You need to search yourself Neighbours don’t care about your cat like you do. They won’t search their property like it needs to be done – you will need to do this. If they don’t like cats, they won’t search at all. You need to search at night Searching at night with a strong, focused torch, looking for your cat’s eyeshine, is the best use of your time. Cats are more likely to come out at night and their eyeshine makes it really easy to see them. Be thorough – crawl or look under houses, under decks, under bushes, check nooks and crannies in sheds, up trees, on rooves etc. You may need to use a humane trap Scaredy cats can be delicate and anxious beings at the best of times. When displaced, they’re even more so. Even confident cats sometimes require trapping when ‘away from home’.Watch a video from the Missing Animal Response Network on what lost cats do.

Look in cupboards and behind drawers Even check Front loader washing machine and dryer as can get locked in Look up trees Look in neighbours yards sheds and garages with permission as can get locked in Check outside cameras Ask neighbours to check their outside cameras Leave litter tray outside and a garment that you wear outside for scent back home Look on other lost and found pages Look inside and outside of places where could get caught up by collar Tap a tin and call after dark as cats surface then Use cooked chicken to coax is good Hope you find your cat
