Thankyou everyone, the dog owner's house was found a block away through the owner's friend walking down the street. She was identified as Iris and is safe home now. Not sure about the back story but the dog really wanted to go inside the house in the photo. I tried knocking at the door but the house seemed empty. Humane society was contacted for help.

Elizabeth Andrisani O'Connor I really hope he wasn't left behind or she! That's terrible to do to an animal I don't know if dogs will run back to their previous home but I know cats will do it from time to time... either way I feel for that doggy if it needs a space to go I do have two at home so I couldn't keep it forever but I would be able to keep it temporarily

Tanya Silliker well i am going by what was said. Also since i delt with a cat that was abandoned by his prev owner. They upped and moved away and left him. Lucky for me i took him in and gave him a good loving home and he also has a sister now.

Theresa Viselli Nobody is responding to questions being asked and this poor dog needs help. I would've gone to get her if I had a car. Very frustrating
