Immediately (NOW)walk area shake treat bag or Bang on cat food can calling for your cat multiple times during the day-and-night especially when it's quiet out. Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meow

Shared. Since Priscilla is an indoor only kitty, it's very likely that she's hiding nearby. It's necessary for you to search - NOW! The longer you wait to Search, there's more chances that she will be chased out of the immediate area. Search out of the way spots in the neighborhood, check bushes and trees, and under parked vehicles. Keep in mind that cats can squeeze into very tight spaces! So if in doubt, check it out. Ask your neighbors to check their garages, back yards, storage sheds, under porches and parked vehicles, etc. Have a carrier and a bag of her favorite treats with your when they check. Shake the bag while calling out to her. Keep your voice calm. Any stress in your voice will alert her to stay hidden. Searching around the neighborhood works best when it's quieter, right as it's getting dark works well. Check areas where she might be looking for food,y water and shelter (like the dumpster area of a restaurant, for example). Take a flashlight, the carrier, and the bag of treats. Also very important to post Priscilla on Nextdoor as well. Keep checking frequently on both websites for any updated, as well as looking for postings on found kitties. Also important to contact local rescue groups, and to check the shelters in the area. Do this in person and online, frequently. File a missing report while you're there. Post flyers in the area, not everyone checks social media. Include veterinary offices and pet stores when you post the flyers. Good luck 💖

For Priscilla’s people: Please read the advice shared on the Missing Animal Response Network. They have a page specific to lost cat behavior. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ If you have not already, visit neighboring homes and ask them to look into their garages and outbuildings, checking multiple times while sitting patiently, and quietly. Cats get scared when in strange places and won't necessarily bolt for the door when it is opened, and might not even run to a familiar person if they happen to be present. Also, post flyers - don't rely upon everyone having access to on-line posts. Check every logical and illogical place your cat may have gotten into on your property, to name just a few: cabinets/drawers — high and low; behind/under cushions on sofas, liners under sofas; closets; in garages/basements/sheds. Don’t forget to check in with local vets and animal shelters. Some have had success with placing a humane trap in their backyard - luring kitty in with a serving of their regular food; also with leaving clothing/blankets with your and/or their scent. If you have not already, post to Pawboost and/or Nextdoor. Each has their own audience and can be highly effective. Finally, for any reading this, please keep a bowl of water (ideally freshened every 2-3 days) in your garages/outbuildings for those instances when a neighborhood critter happens to find themselves trapped.
