Message from Owner

This is Opie. He was born August 7 of last year to his calico mother named Cleopatra, making him 6 months old. He went missing we believe sometime between 9 PM Thursday, February 19 and 7 AM Friday, February 20 as he was not accounted for during his morning feeding. He lives in the one of the Ralph J Rangel hses on Harlem River. He is cream colored with white markings and brown eyes. If anyone brings him in or has any anything in regards to his possible whereabouts and safe return it would be greatly appreciated! Also offering reward if found!!

Look at night with a flashlight while calling his name. Look especially under bushes and in neighbors yards garages and sheds. Look up in trees, Leave something outside with his scent on it like his bedding. Leave something outside with your scent on it like an unwashed piece of clothing. Leave out smelly cat food. Hang signs with his photo. Call and visit local shelters and veterinary offices. Good luck!🍀

Ask neighbors to check bats, sheds, all surrounding property, he may have gone in somewhere and got locked in accidentally. Check at dawn and dusk, they tend to hide and come out at those times. Hang flyers, check animal care centers on 110th between 1st and 2nd and make a lost pets report with them, check all their locations throughout the city, but Harlem in the main one. Call local vets, shelters, precincts in case someone finds him and brings him in. Google and search social media for local rescues, not all have a facility and use those outlets. Check found section of pawboost. Check craigslist and other sites that may sell pets. Ask around for anyone who feeds strays, he may show up looking for food. Keep looking around same areas, he may be hiding due to weather. Good luck.

Post on Nextdoor and Ring apps. Ask neighbors to check car hoods, garages and sheds immediately. Make sure to tap hoods of the car around. Keep an entryway open for cat to get in. Buy or loan a live cat trap from online stores or local tnr groups. Leave your garage open with cat to enter. Put some food and your clothing there for smell. Get a motion sensor camera to detect when cat is around your property

shared and hoping and per advice from a trapper to be done at your own discretion (as not everyone agrees with this) put out the uncleaned litter box outside (THIS SHOULD BE A LAST RESORT as this can draw in strays) along with a piece of your clothing they say it helps them find their home, also notify your local precinct and put up many flyers and check under stoops and bushes and garages and if possible and at night when it is quiet constantly call her/his name - this is how I found my cat under a car - hopefully some of this helps
