Wait am I reading it correctly that you left a 3 pound Maltese outside while you were at work? If so I would leave your yard too. Also, I would not return this poor dog back to them for cruel behavior to him. Be safe Oso and find a family that lets you stay inside while they are gone.

Gorgeous! Praying Oso is found safe and reunited with you soon. In this heat he needs to be in house in gated Utility Room &/or crate while you are at work. A 3-1/2# dog can get dehydrated quickly & die.
