Found this beautiful boy across the street from our home in south apopka near Apopka memorial cemetery. He seems to be a puppy. He’s such a good boy. Listens very well. We gave him food and water and had him checked for a chip. There is none. Took him to vet now to get examined as he has heat rash on his neck, very skinny and has a slight limp. He now has been treated for rabies, flees ticks and is resting in our home. But needs a good permanent home. He’s great with other dogs too. Please share to find him a good home. He needs love.

You should report him as found with your local shelter. Most have a hold of 5 days in which you can foster him (which shelters appreciate). I wish I could take him but our zoo is full.

Thank you for caring about this the pet or pets. Can you take to a vet so they can check for a microchip? It's free. Please make sure they scan the whole body as chips can move. Also, post on Pawboost .com, nextdoor .com and Lost and Found Pets of (the county you're in) County on Facebook. Send an email to the local Humane Society and local shelters too so they know if someone calls. Also, petco lost and found. Please get photos and vet info to verify ownership. It is illegal to rehome a found dog before searching for an owner for 30 days. A found report needs to be made (also required by county law) by calling 407-836-3111, press #. The 30 day clock starts once that report is made. If you are unable to hold the dog, while continuing to look for an owner, then take it to the shelter. That is the first place an owner looks for their lost dog.
