Russell Tellup You are wrong, wrong, wrong. I talked to them myself when they were going to euthanize a sweet dog that I was trying to get help for who was just petrified. They put me down as a last resort call. They called me themselves to tell me if I didn't pick him up that day, he would be put down in the morning. He was only there for 5 days. They said he was just to scared to be considered adoptable. Luckily, I had a neighbor go get him that day. Now he's thriving. You, sir, are the one giving false information.

I have adopted multiple dogs from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. They are an awesome organization and well worth support!

This is false information. The pikes Peak Humane Society is a no shelter and only euthanize dogs who are sick and cannot survive. In fact, they even take dogs from other shelters to save them.

Everyone, please try to help find this dog’s owner as quickly as possible. Pikes Peak Humane Society is not a safe place for scared or sensitive dogs — they can be euthanized for fear‑based behavior alone, even if they’re healthy and friendly in a normal environment. And the “bail‑out” fees for owners are extremely high, which means some families simply can’t afford to reclaim their own dog. A lot of dogs never make it back home once they enter the system. The best chance this pup has is getting reunited with their owner before the shelter processes them. If anyone recognizes this dog or the neighborhood it came from, please speak up.
