Message from Owner

Our beloved 10 year old cat got out when we were having some work done. We are frantic looking for her. She is so sweet but has never been an outdoor cat. Loves other animals but may be skiddish. She has 2 human kids missing her and 2 dog siblings… thank you for the attention to helping find her!!

Put out some worn clothing on your porch. Notify all your neighbors she is missing and ask them to check under their decks, house and in their garage and any outbuildings they might have. Put up flyers with her picture and your phone number around your neighborhood. Flyers work. Lots of people have found their cats because neighbors saw their flyers. You might also want to go out and look after dark with a flashlight and call her name softly. They typically don’t stray too far from home.

Please look up in trees, on top of roofs, under buildings/houses with broken or missing foundation vent covers, and inside of closed garages. Ask all your neighbors to check their property, too. Cats don't generally go too far away from home. Try putting some of your unwashed clothing outside near your door. This has worked to help confused cats find their way back home. NEVER put food nor a cats litter box outside. Both will attract wild animals that may harm (or worse) your cat. Post photos of your cat all around your neighborhood, inside grocery and pet supply stores. Go door to door in your neighborhood. Go in person to local animal shelters to search for your cat. The nice people answering their phones will not know about all the cats dropped off or brought in by animal control. Call all local veterinary offices to check if anyone has brought your cat in to be scanned for a microchip or treated for an injury. Please don't give up on searching for your cat. I'm sure it would much rather be safe inside your home than lost outside.

Cook a ham or a roast and open your windows. Walk outside with the roast in a plastic bag calling pets name when you can listen and it’s quiet with no traffic, 3am. Tape posters on mailboxes, put out blankets that have your scent, open your windows. Knock on all your neighbors doors asking if you can look underneath things, could be hurt. never give up🙏
