Young black and white kitten

This kitten is very shy… it is very young. It wandered into our yard several weeks ago, alone.. at the time I think it was 6-7 wks old. Just old enough to leave mom but barely able to eat dry food. I have been feeding it wet food day and night… it hides in the garage, but I haven’t gotten to touch it yet. Does this kitten belong to anyone??? It needs a home- not safe with the big hawk I keep seeing!
