Call the microchip company ASAP, they will send out an alert. Buy or Rent a trap from a rescue, vet, police station, friend, or neighbor. Get cans of 9-Lives, put the trap by your house or building, and put the food inside (1 can at a time on a plate). Write a note “Please don’t touch, trapping lost cat, please call (add your #) if seen” Check the trap every 15 min as you might get other wildlife caught and need to be released. Be patient it can take a couple of days to catch him as cats get scarred when not used to being outside, they act differently. They normally hide during the day and come out at night. Check under the porches and back decks of neighbors as they make great hiding spots along with bushes. 🙏🏻 you find him soon🐈‍⬛

Indoor cats usually find a place to hide nearby initially. With time they will begin to move further away. It’s important for you to take steps to find him right away. They usually hide during the day and might come out at night. Please search your yard and ask neighbors to do the same. Look under bushes, decks, cars, in sheds, garages, window wells, anywhere she could hide. Cats have been stuck in sheds/garages for days before being located.

If you haven't done so already, please report missing right away to local police, animal control, shelters and veterinary offices in and around your area. It's best to visit animal control and shelters in person if possible and ask to see the cats being held there. Provide a picture and your contact information, or a flyer with both. If you can't visit in person please contact them and forward a photo and your contact info. CHECK BACK WITH ANIMAL CONTROL AND SHELTERS DAILY BECAUSE SOME SHELTERS ONLY HOLD STRAYS FOR A FEW DAYS, AND THEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Put laundry with your sent on it and your cat's bed outside your door to try to lure her back home. Walk the neighborhood with treats and smelly food she likes while calmly calling her name. Someone walked the same route daily for several days and their cat found them after a few days. Hope this works for you!
