Description

White pitbull - has callous on her front elbow

Message from Owner

My baby frost is missing - she got out of our fenced back yard Sunday May 24th and my neighbors did everything they could to get her in our yard but she was scared off by the kids in the neighborhood… she is 12 and I’ve had her since she was 8 weeks . I had 6 children and we are all missing her so much she is older than half of the kids and the other half were just toddlers when we got her . Multiple people have said they saw a woman putting my pup in her car on brookeville and bade rd but that person has made no effort to return my dog . I have made multiple Posts , called vets , shelters and nothing . Whomever took my dog seems to have no intention of retuning her and we would really appreciate them doing the right thing and giving her back . If you have a neighbor that has suddenly shown up with a full grown female pit who has a callous on her front elbow please contact me ….

Some lady took this dog. A man helped load the dog in the lady's vehicle. PLEASE RETURN THIS WOMANS DOG!

Be sure to make flyers. If she’s not microchipped or doesn’t have tags on they wouldn’t know who to call. A lot of people who help lost pets don’t have social media . Be sure to post on the Nextdoor app also & Neighbors RING app also Indy Lost Pet Alert & Indy East Side Dog/Cat Lost & Found ONLY

If she is not microchipped have you looked on Indianapolis Animal Care Services page for the shelter? They have a white female pittie there now that was picked up this week

Help find your dogs Do: Wait patiently at the scene for as long as possible. Stay put so your dog can come back following your scent. “Let the dog come back to you.” When you must go home, take a dirty sock, t-shirt, or underwear that has been close to your skin and place them outside of your home. This is another scent lure. Set up a “meat trap” using odorous meats. This is done based on investigative work. For example, after a neighbor saw your dog running up a hill, the meat and water would be placed at the foot of the hill. Broadcast that your dog is missing using social media, posters, and word of mouth. Ask people to report sightings rather than attempt to retrieve your dog. She will be frightened and run away again. Use sighting reports to use scent based lures like clothing or food. Leave doors open so that your dog has a way to get inside when they return home. Do Not: Leave the scene and start searching for your dog. You are spreading your scent and making it more difficult for your dog to come back to you. Close up your house so your dog has no way of coming inside when they return. Chase your dog or yell their name. This will only drive them furtherTips to find yourTIPS TO FIND YOUR LOST DOG: 🐾 🐾 ■Post to: Indy Lost Pet Alert, Nextdoor, Petfbi, Lost My Doggie & Petalertusa. *** Remember to check these sites daily for "found" pet posts!! ■Scent is critical in finding your dog - remember to freshen up bedding every couple of days. ■One sign can attract 200 👀 a day.
