MacKenzie Fowler there are also a lot of coyotes up there. Please do not wait execute your search right away. Posting on Facebook groups is great on day three or four on day one and two flyers and neighborhood apps. She's in the vicinity you need people that are in the vicinity looking for her not people in Apache junction and Glendale and avondale. That's the difference.

Still can't find your pet? 1. Have you posted 👉👉three times a day on next door AND Neighbors by ring? (NOT THE RING APP) 👉👉 Have you commented on your post two or three times to get it going? 👉👉 Have you continued to comment for a few days so everyone in your neighborhood to see it? Or did you just post and move on to post somewhere else? 2. Did you put a reward in the first sentence? 👉👉👉With the amount? 3. Did you put a reward AND your phone number plus ONE BIG CLEAR picture of your pet on all the garages on your street? And the one behind your house? If that didn't work... 4. Did you call all the veterinarians within 10 miles of you to see if A PET MATCHING YOUR PETS DESCRIPTION was brought in injured or deceased hit by a car? 5. Did you call the local police department and ask for dispatch and see if anyone reported a deceased pet matching yours description for dead animal pickup? 6. Did you crop everything out of the picture but your pet and put it on Petco love lost?

Why nearby neighbors matter more than large Facebook groups in the first couple of days. An example of how it works: Let's say there's a Facebook group for Surprise AZ with 24,000 people in it. It's a decent sized city. Approximately 11 miles north to south. 8 to 10 miles east to west. Covering approximately 110 square miles. Posting on a Facebook group with 24,000 members may sound like a massive search team. However, most of those people are too spread out and will never even see the pet in real life. Approximately 50% of people like dogs or would be helpful if they see the dog. The remaining 50% are a mix of people who are: Indifferent Don't notice dogs Don't feel comfortable around unfamiliar dogs Are too busy, or Simply aren't interested in helping. A loose small dog can travel an estimated 3–5 miles in a day A large dog can travel 5 to 10+ miles a day. But in this heat they are not traveling that far. Likely within a mile or two. Of course in this heat the first hours are critical!! A dog that is loose may still be within a manageable area, but every day that passes, increases the distance it travels and the number of possibilities move from manageable to endless. This is why the goal is NOT Shares, or views because there is no way you will reach everyone with your post in your city. Definitely not going to get everyone looking for your pet. Your goal is to get as many people as possible within that 1–3 mile radius of the last known location, ACTIVELY paying attention. Typically the TOP and MOST EFFECTIVE way to do that is with the neighborhood apps. And the Facebook groups for your subdivision. In heavy spanish-speaking neighborhoods flyers are typically the lead way to go as well as Spanish language groups for your neighborhood. Offering a reward definitely grabs attention so if you're in a hurry you definitely want to add one for the most attention. Right now in the heat, most people need the extra inspiration to check their cameras and look outside.

MacKenzie Fowler please do not wait for them to get the Flyers to you get on the two neighborhood apps immediately. You can't afford delays right now dogs are dropping in 30 minutes to an hour from heat exhaustion.

These dogs are runners and they can travel very quickly. But the majority of cases I have helped with the dog stays within one square mile trying to figure out where the house is. Clothing in your front yard does not work when it's over 110°. I don't care if you have to write lost dog and your phone number and that's it slap it up at the major intersections asap. Focus on Flyers next door and neighbors by ring. That's it.

Your best bet in that neighborhood is absolutely these two neighborhood apps get on them immediately. Do not waste time posting on social media groups you want to focus on the neighborhood apps right now. 13 year Lost Pet advocate.

MacKenzie Fowler hey post your dog on lost pets of Phoenix and stray d a r for Arizona immediately. Pb is not super helpful. Just say the least. It's hiding comments now too so someone might give you the info you need and you won't see it because it's just hiding stuff.
