Pippen got out onto the porch roof due to a screen that came loose & was so scared he jumped down to the driveway. We are hoping he's nearby & we placed hav-a-hart traps in our yard. We miss him so much. He's a little chatterbox at home. We hope he isn't hurt from jumping & are praying for his safe return. Thank you.

Lost cat Assuming they are strictly an indoor cat: They are likely hiding somewhere very nearby, on your own property or very near. It is rare for an indoor cat to go further than a house or two away. They are terrified and will not come out or respond to your calls. If they come out at all it will only be at night. Look for them after dark with a flashlight. Look in every tiny space they could possibly squeeze themselves into. The flashlight will let you see the glow of their eyes. DO NOT PUT OUT THEIR LITTER BOX ! That attracts predators. some worn clothing with your scent (pillowcases work great, worn socks) and some stinky food (tuna, sardines, KFC). Leave scent trails to your door with something like tuna juice or chicken broth. Indoor cats get lost very easily. In their fear they become disoriented and can’t find their way back to your door even though they are right on your property. But they have a VERY strong sense of smell. Do these things and they will help your baby find their way back to your door. If it’s feasible, leave the door ajar for them. Your indoor cat doesn’t know your house from the outside, but they know it from the inside. Every house has a smell, and yours smells like “home”. If you leave the door ajar, they will smell it and run right in. Another thing you can do is sleep outside. A few people have done that recently with great success. Best of luck
