Message from Finder

This black cat was waiting for me at the front door when I pulled in this afternoon. She is not scared of me, but very timid. I started to pick her up, but let her go because she feels very fragile. She was very lethargic and could barely keep her eyes open—she looked like she was starving for a long time. She has a bell collar that looks like the bell was snapped off at one point-it is hard to tell exactly, but it looks like a very light blue collar maybe? she is not able to run, but can move quickly (somewhat)if she feels spooked. it looks like there’s something wrong with her pelvic area and is walking very odd, patches of fur missing, and may be covered in blood but it is hard to tell exactly what it is. It looks like she has trouble swallowing at some points too. this cat has definitely been lost for a while now—she has been eating for literally hours. I have notified animal control, and a woman from a shelter came by with a large carrier. she seems to have some trust for me, given she has not left the properly for hours and has let me touch her and sit with her. I will continue trying, she was definitely a hse cat. I can tell she is a very sweet cat, she just needs to know she is in a safe place. I have left all sorts of food at each entrance to my home, with the outside doors cracked. I have the large carrier by the front door in case I feel like I can grab her and push her in—I am just trying to be very careful so that I don’t spook her and make her feel she is not safe to be here. PLEASE contact me if you think this may be your cat…. serious inquiries only—she may recognize you. She was so lethargic earlier today she could barely keep her eyes open, but has gained at least some strength from eating. she’s roaming around the property, but has not left it. She came onto my indoor porch and it’s dark and if I knew she was there, I would have shut the door but spooked her. Again I will continue to try.

Can you hang posters up in your area saying that anybody lose a cat? Don't give details and just see if anybody answers and maybe it's somebody's pet because it has a collar on

The cat may have been dumped by someone or the owner is elderly and doesn't use social media. I hope this beautiful cat can be returned to it's owners and I hope they keep him inside. I just hate it when people throw their cats outside.
