My friend who has been a groomer for the SPACA and the City shelter and has a dog grooming business for 30 years says this dog puppy is emaciated. Go talk to him. I am done on the subject and am done on this post. I am moving on. Please read all the other commentors on here who are also concerned and talk to them.

Lu Bagnoli perhaps, you should use some of this excess time you have on your hands to read a book about the growing pattern of large breed dogs, specifically Mastiff breeds. As an owner of one, my dog was very well cared for and still is at 130 lb full grown now, but when she was around 8 to 10 months old and at other growth spurts, she thinned out quite a bit. Also, if you read the OP where the owners said it's the last thing they have of their dad, she might have a reduced appetite if she's going through some depression or grief if her owner passed away and she's in a new home with the family. Mastiffs are particularly sensitive to the energy and feelings of their people. Find another cause and let the dog control do their job and the people who know something about the situation.
