- [ ] Tips from Babs- Grab a rotisserie chicken, and put it out at your home/place they escaped from. DON’T run around searching for your dog. This spreads your scent and confuses them. Have people who aren’t close to the dog drive around.
2️⃣. Post on Next Door - a neighborhood app that was hugely helpful in starting a search for our pup.
3️⃣. Build up the scent around home base, and stay put! Hang out outside, bring dog friends, eat a picnic on the lawn. This works to draw the dog back home.
4️⃣. Post Lost Dog signs.
5️⃣. If chicken, dog parties, posts and fliers don’t work right away . don’t lose hope! Go to sleep with all gates and the doors to the house open. Put your dirty socks or sheets outside so they can smell their way home.
