šŸ’„šŸ’„WARNINGšŸ’„šŸ’„ SCAMMERS šŸ’„šŸ’„will claim they found your cat!. SCAMMERS will text you saying theyā€™re affiliated with Pawboost or an ANIMAL SHELTER and that they HAVE YOUR CAT and that YOU need to PROVE who you are by giving other phone numbers, your email, verifying google codes etc or to send money to get your cat from the shelter. These are all SCAMMERS! THEY WON'T Send you a PHOTO of your cat (they'll make up any excuse) OR THEY'LL SEND a PHOTO of a similar cat - or a blurry video - but itā€™s not your cat! Look closely. Please know that If your actual neighbor sees or has your cat they will give you information freely (and will post a PHOTO on your listing and not make you ā€˜send a code or personal information or money. šŸ’„Thereā€™s a NEW SCAM on Facebook the scammer will say something like ā€˜my husband found your cat please message me your phone number ā€œ meaning they want you to message them from your Facebook messenger your phone number! šŸ’„The Facebook SCAMMER will tell you to look up a lost cat search team they used on Instagram or another platform saying their cat was found within hours -itā€™s a total SCAM. LOOK AT THEIR FACEBOOK PROFILE - you may see alot of (PAID) followers but they are not following anyone, The profile will have a few photos only, usually just selfies and the profile was created not long ago. You will see no posts / conversations with friends , I report the account to Facebook Scammers are heartless. Some SCAM texts examples Iā€™ve received -> https://docs.google.com/document/d/12nDqc5LC4ViL67PL7u6aBPjHX03MzVwpND9Q3-aJovw/edit?usp=sharing

If he is an indoor only cat, or new to an area outside the gate he is hiding very nearby where he got out. Cats donā€™t run away so he is hunkered down hiding outside the gate area in the nearest hiding area. The good news is indoor cats are almost always found you just need to look everywhere! Look with a flashlight even during the day. Put out dirty laundry and other familiar scents outside ASAP with water and bedding. Look quietly under bushes, decks, porches and cars with a flashlight even during the day . lol along walks and fence lines. Look for him anywhere he could hunker down and hide in or under. Put flyers on neighbors porches asking them to check their property throughly and to check security cameras. Look inside sheds and garages too. Post on Nextdoor and file a lost report with the shelter . Hope you find your cute kitty soon . Just donā€™t stop looking everywhere . Our daughters cat slipped out of her house and hid almost two weeks until we saw her on security cameras. Every time she opened the door her cat would flee! We finally set a humane cat trap near her porch and and monitored it from a distance with a security camera and caught her within a few hours. So leave the porch light. If he continues to hide, set the trap in the early morning hours. Do not leave food out at all! Hoping you will find him , just donā€™t stop looking. If he is microchipped, file a lost report with the microchip company too and make sure contact info is current
