Message from Owner

Her ear has been tipped, and her right side has all the fur ripped off, she has hard skin there. We had her to the vet and there was no trauma besides her fur, She had an mishap a couple of weeks ago and she’s healing. She is used to going out for an hour or so on a night. But has always come back. The way she looks could be mistaken for her being a sick stray but she’s not. She is 2 years old and deeply loved.

Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA should be able to help. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method has worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Good luck and God bless.

If you have a shed or garage or enclosed porch, prop open the door overnight and put unwashed laundry inside. He may go in overnight. Don't put food in there because it may attract other critters. Leave a window or door open to your home after dark. He may come in. Please borrow a trap from your local shelter and set it up ASAP. Sending prayers.🙏

Prayer sent🙏 LOST PET TIPS Things to do ASAP if you have lost your pet: • BEWARE OF SCAMS! Do not send money or google codes. Report or block scam phone numbers. • Place scent items & a food station near escape point. • Instruct everyone to not call out to or chase. • File Reports with Police, shelters that cover your area • If microchipped - report to chip company that your pet is lost & verify your information is up-to-date • If you have an electric fence - turn it off • If lost from a fenced yard - secure other pets & open gate • Spread the word: use social media, lostmydoggie, nextdoor, pawboost • Create a simple flyer • Notify neighbors, ask them to check cameras, sheds, garages • Check Shelters in person • Record all sightings in a notebook - date, time, location, direction of travel. The above information are things to do right away for a lost pet, there are more details and additional tips on our website: FindTobyInPA.org/lost-pet

Janet Anderson Bonawitz my fear is that she has been run over or someone has thought she was injured due to her having that wound on her side. Thank you very much though. It is encouraging that your cat came back.

The cat is more than likely close in hiding during the day esp a lot of activity outside since so nice. Open a garage door partway if you have one but search in dusk , evening or dawn hours. They come out when it is quiet. Don't give up mine was gone for a week.

Alexis Herr can you tell me when? And do you really think it’s her? She has a lot of fur missing from her right side. I would post a pic but it’s a little graphic.
