I have never heard of a vet not scanning a deceased animal! Scanning the animal could give someone closure. RIP kitty🐾

Even the animal control scans deceased animals... im sorry this wasn't true by this vet.. unfortunately there is no way to find possible owners now that cat is cremated :(

That is awful they would not scan for a chip. Thank you for taking him to the vet and getting him cremated, such kindness!. Hopefully the owners are found.
