Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Put his bedding and dirty clothes outside and dirtier the better.Even hang it out side they can smell it for miles.put your dirty coat outside and they stay close to your house because they are scared to be outside and hiding in the shrubs and hedges Look for him in the evening softly calling his name with a flash light and don't give up this is how we got our cat back after 3weeks with the help of our vet. WARNING IF YOU LIVE OUT OF THE ENTER CITY YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE LITTER BOX 24 7 FOR OTHER ANIMALS AND PREDATORS ALL THE TIME please Put his toys and bedding and cat tree on the porch and water and food and your dirty coat outside and check all the shelters close to you in person every few days Ask your neighbor if you can ck their garage and sheds and gutters and on the roofs. Take your dirty vacuum bag and shake it all around your property they can smell it for miles.please keep him in when you get him back.

LOST CAT OPEN DOOR Scatter the contents of your hoover bag around the outside boundary of your home - they can scent their way home from miles away, using the familiar smell of your home. If putting out clothing make sure that it hasn’t been washed so that it smells of “you”. Going out late at night/ early morning when it is quieter and less noise distraction around will make it easier for you to hear each other’s calls. If you are calling for him make sure you do this as you walk towards your home not away from it so that if he follows the direction of your voice you’re leading him home, not further away. Also ask any neighbours to check their sheds/ outbuildings in case he’s been inquisitive and got trapped inside somewhere. If he is an indoor cat he is likely scared and hiding somewhere very close by - look under/behind any items/objects that he may be seeking shelter from - under bushes, behind bins etc. when searching at night take a torch - the light from its beam will reflect in his eyes and you will be able to spot him even if he doesn’t respond to your calls. Put up posters in all surrounding streets and inform the microchip company that he is missing.Put out water, and some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). Depending on the weather, you might want to put out a plastic tub with straw for shelter. Go out every morning and evening walking (folks seem successful around 10:30 p.m., but don't go alone) with food/treats in bowl rattling it, calling your cats name. Cats are often hiding within a 5-house radius. Do NOT give up. There was a cat a week or so ago, they went out every night for 5 nights, finally on the 5th night, they heard it's meow, it was trapped in a neighbor's shed. Another was hiding in a tree from the neighbor's dogs. Check buildings, bushes, trees, and storm drains around your house. Also in the house/garage, keep all doors/closets OPEN in case it's hiding in the house. If you can, leave door cracked open from which cat would most likely sneak back in during the night. If desperate, sprinkle your urine near the cracked door as stronger scent guidance. Worked for us!

Around 75% of lost cats are found within a few houses if where they escaped . When cats get scared, their natural defense is to dive into the nearest hiding spot and freeze silently, often ignoring your voice. Start taking these steps immediately: 1. Do a Deep Indoor Search First:Before going far, verify they aren't still inside. Cats can squeeze into tiny gaps when spooked. * Check under mattresses, behind washing machines, inside dressers/drawers, inside box springs, behind appliances, or up inside closet corners. * Use a flashlight (even during the day) to catch the reflection of their eyes in dark spaces. 2. Search the 5-House Radius If your cat is strictly an indoor cat, they are almost certainly hunkered down nearby (under a neighbor's porch, in a shed, behind trash cans, or tucked under a parked car). * Get permission to search nearby neighbors' yards and check inside open garages, sheds, or outbuildings. * Look UP and DOWN: Scan tree branches me roof edges as well as low crawl spaces. 3. Use Scent Marks Near the Door * Set out a worn piece of your unwashed clothing or their favorite blanket by your door. Your scent gives them a beacon home. * Note: Avoid putting their entire dirty litter box outside—it can attract territorial neighborhood cats or predators, scaring your lost cat away. 4. Search During Quiet Hours Cats are most active when the neighborhood settles down. * Search late at night (10 PM–2 AM) or early in the morning (4 AM–6 AM). * Walk slowly, calling their name gently. Stop every few steps and listen carefully for 2–3 minutes for faint meows. 5. Spread the Word & Report * Call local shelters and vets: Report them missing and check if anyone brought them in. * Check the microchip: If they are microchipped, contact the registry immediately to ensure your phone number and address are up to date. * Post online: Share a clear photo and location on local Facebook lost & found pet groups, Nextdoor, and PawBoost. * Flyers: Hang bright, bold posters around the immediate neighborhood with a clear photo and your phone number.

Good tips here go look at night with a flash light it will reflect on their eyes and shake some kibble and call their name prayers for you and your baby don't give up look up high in trees and place some recently worn clothing outside. Walk around the neighborhood and shake some kibble
