My sweet boy has been missing and I’m devastated. He’s been my buddy for the last 2 years and my biggest fear was losing him and it’s come true. I’m praying he returns home soon. Please if anyone sees him please contact me

Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Put them up in area and knock on neighbors doors to ask to look and keep an eye out and give them a flyer for if they see cat. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/intersection-alerts/ Also, I used https://www.professionalpettrackers.com/

Yes. Cats often hide in sheds or garages. Check the sheds and garages near you to make sure he is not trapped in there.

I live at Ocean Trace and have been looking for him. I feed a feral cat each night around 6:00 and was hoping he would come around if he smelled the food. Don’t lose hope. We will find him! He’s probably just enjoying a little freedom for a minute. I’m sure he will come back to you. You should leave his litter box and food out by your front door and see what happens. They say a cat will come back home if they smell that.

Please follow a missing cat report with the Virginia Beach animal control. If the cat is chipped to make sure that registry has your current contact information. Visit the shelter to see if your cat has been brought in. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard called your cat’s name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Look in the bushes with your flashlight to see if your cat is hiding. Indoor cats normally don’t strain more than 5 to 7 homes from their own. Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take around to your neighbors. Ask them to call you if they see your cat. I also asked him if they have been in their shed out building a garage since your cat went missing. Cats go in those places to hide and cannot be heard crying to get out unless you’re standing right next to it.
