Message from Owner

We lost our boy when he got a fright and ran off from Lake Gwelup on Australia day the 26th Jan, we've been looking for him ever since, we can't find any trace of him in the parks and surrounds so are hoping he left the park and is out there somewhere. We are interested in any potential sighting since Australia day 8AM.

2weeks without a sighting is a long time for this distinctive breed . 😢 I hope someone hasn’t picked him up & kept him 🙏. Have you put flyers up around the areas to bring people attention to him? If he is visible in public whoever has him may do the right thing ? 🙏💕🐾

- is Maverick microchipped? - Phone the local council's Ranger Services ASAP & inform them that your dog Maverick 🐕 is lost & give them a photo(s) 📸 of your dog so they can keep a lookout for him/her. If your dog isn’t there at the moment, leave your contact details & their description etc. with them. ***Important*** Ask the ranger how many days their pound holds dogs for, as it could be as little as 3 days (if your dog isn’t microchipped) before they can adopt your dog to another person (if they’re unable to contact you successfully). It's better to visit the pound regularly in person too to check if your dog 🐕 is impounded there. Don’t just rely on checking their website, as they mightn’t include details of all of the dogs impounded with them on there. Check with them first before visiting them. - If your dog is microchipped, it’s vital you check that your contact details are current because the microchip database company HomeSafelD closed down sometime during 2025. • Can’t find the records of your dog’s microchip number? Contact their original vet as the number should be on their client records. • If your dog has a microchip, you can flag your dog as missing at Pet Address. Their website addresses is: https://petaddress.com.au/ - Also, check with as many other councils’ ranger services or pounds in-case your dog 🐶 is located in another area. - Check with vet clinics & vet hospitals. 🏥
