Put her bed/blanket in her carrier and soiled items of your clothing on top of the carrier, outside your door for her to catch a scent of home. Go out after Dusk when it's quiet and have a flashlight and shake toys and treats and quietly call to her. Search under decks, porches, bushes, vehicles, tarps, up trees, and other spots where she could be trapped or hiding. Search for a while. Also search in the early morning hours. Cats typically stay close to home and hide and come out at night when it's quiet. Search anytime of the day as well. Email Kent County Animal Shelter photos, location details, and your contact information and call the shelter daily; kcas@kentcountymi.gov; (616)632-7300. Notify your neighbors and mail carriers so they can be on the lookout for her. Ask neighbors to search their property; sheds, garages, etc. Put a ad on Craigslist lost/found and pets sections and search there often. Put a large sign in your front yard near the road and large bright colored posters up all over the area. Post to Nextdoor.com. Cats get scared and can go missing a while so don't get discouraged! I hope that she is found soon! Lost Paws LLC can be contacted for assistance.
Lost pet experts suggest NOT putting the soiled or clean litter box outside. These experts also suggest no food outside unless it is monitored at all times to see who is eating it. A livetrap can be used if it is monitored at all times.
