Some tips: Put up big, in-your-face fliers with a picture. Maybe make mini fliers to leave on people's porches. Talk to neighbors to make them aware. Check the website of your local animal shelter daily! Maybe call vet offices and ask if you can put up fliers. Post on Nextdoor.com. Praying he returns home soon🙏
