Great. Dont let their location concern you. You can still contact them. I have known them to come to Oregon to help get cats out of trees. I would say two days in a tree might be too long

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if the cat was up there on purpose either, but I just went to check and the cat is still there. I did not try to move it yet, partly for that reason and because I wasn’t sure if it would come to me/scratch me if we tried to get it out. Thanks for sharing the canopy cat rescue info Elizabeth.

I'm not suggesting you did this, just FYI: cats don't just stay in their yards all day, they wander around within a reasonable distance of their home so they are not always lost or stray when people interact with them. Some people take them home or to a humane society shelter thinking they are lost, but in that case it is the rescuer who renders that kitty lost and missing from its home and when they drop the cat off at a shelter it will spend its remaining life inside a cage for almost 24hours a day until its euthanized or adopted which could take years so be aware that most cats who are lost will show signs of incredible hunger or thirst but even that does not prove they are lost. Truly feral cats that have never had an owner won't likely come up to within reach of anyone, they are too scared and they don't always look scruffy. If they are well groomed and they have a healthy looking weight to them (cannot feel their vertebrae sticking out along their back then they may not be lost or stray or feral at all and people should probly not take them from where they find them unless they are injured or in a dangerous place. Then it would be okay to move them to a safer spot or take them to the vet but bring them back to once they recover so they can go home to their owners. If they are not injured, look healthy and are in or around a residential area, they are most likely just being social with you and are just fine right where they are unless you see the signs that they are unkept, starving, freezing, abused, injured or in danger - try to be aware that someone likely owns that pet within a mile or less from where you find it so when you take it away from there, YOU are causing unnecessary grief BECAUSE PETS ARE LIKE CHILDREN TO SOME OF US. YOU JUST DON'T GO TAKING PEOPLE'S CHILDREN FROM THEM. I'M SURE YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT A PERSON WOULD DO TO A PET KIDNAPPER OR A PET RANSOMER. THE LAWS OR LEGALITY MATTER NOT WHEN SOMEONE TAKES YOUR CHILDREN FROM YOU.

There is a cat rescue that can help get cats that are stuck in trees, just incase. Canopy Cat Rescue. He looks ok but thought I would share.
