Ask around your neighborhood and see if any of your neighbors know who the dog belongs to and neighbors and surrounding neighborhoods. Post flyers within a 3 to 5 mile radius of where we found the dog make sure you place them in Ziploc baggies to protect them from the weather. Also notify all the local animal shelters, animal controls County Humane Society in your area. These two suggestions are very important is not everyone is on social media.Pawboost.com, Neighbors.ring.com, Nextdoor.com, petfbi.org.
