If she is chipped, call the chip company to let know she is lost and be sure they have your correct contact info. You can also post her lost on Nextdoor, Pet FBI, Lost Dogs/Cats of Rockford on Facebook,on Pawboost (include your phone number) and on winnebagoanimals.org. Go yourself and look for her at Winnebago County Animal Services, 4517 N Main, Rockford, as the staff is too busy to look for him for you. They are open M 11-7, T-F 11-5, Sat. 11-4, closed Sun. Try to go every day or every other day if possible. Also check the dogs up for adoption in case she is posted there, but she will have a different name. Never send money to anyone claiming to have your pet unless you have confirmed it’s yours and you have her back. Get the name and number for the person who says they have your dog. Verify contact information. Be cautious if someone refuses to meet in a public location or communicate through traceable methods. Please be careful with anyone claiming to have your dog and asking for a 6 digit google code to prove you are a human. It is a scam. Please disregard no matter how persistent the scammers are!
