Bianca Quevedo because it is proof that you even own the dog, duh! not to mention you would post that your dog is lost. You cant follow that? people CLAIM dogs like this when it doesnt belong to them. Several people ON HERE have already said this is their dog!

Meet them at their vets office their vet will know if that is their dog do not just give it to anybody three people have said us their dog REALLY!!!! 😮😮😮😮

[DF] Thank you for rescuing this fur baby! I'm involved with lost pet rescue and just so you know, I respond to hundreds of lost and found pet posts every month to offer some help, so can't customize this for every situation. If you already know about these steps or have done them, please just disregard: Firstly, please don't ever assume that an animal has been dumped by its family. Pets are often stolen during car thefts, by nasty neighbors and vindictive exes and roommates, then driven miles from home and dumped. If you haven't done so already, a vet or shelter will scan for a microchip free of charge. Also, please post on other lost and found pet websites and your neighborhood social media site. You can also check with vets, shelters, and animal control in the area to see if this pet has been reported missing. Some people, especially the elderly, don't know how to go online to search for lost pets, so some big neon posters in the area would be helpful. If the family does come forward, please be sure they have pics and vet records to prove ownership. If you cannot take care of the pet until the owner is found, please turn it over to the nearest no- licensed shelter. Most owners check with local shelters for lost pets. Also, just a friendly FYI: Pets are considered personal property. If a person shelters a stray, they must actively search for it's owners and cannot give or sell it to another, or it could be considered theft. Also, please don't even give a pet to someone you don't know who offers to foster while they find the family. Although there are some very good-hearted people out there, there are also some very evil ones, who use strays and free pets for very nefarious reasons, including dog fighting bait. Unfortunately, they really know how to con people. Only a licensed rescue or shelter can put a pet up for adoption. Individuals who keep a stray can only file a legal claim for ownership due to abandonment after 5 yrs. Thanks again! ❤

I'm so glad you're helping this baby. Thanks! 🌹 It's always good to see people with big hearts helping. 😁👍💝. Sometimes people will pick up pets and not immediately look for owners. This can lead them to get lost in areas they're unfamiliar with. Many pets end up in the streets because of this. Thank you for looking for the owners. I'm sure she/he just wants to go to their rightful home. I'm glad you're looking. 🌹 🙏🙏🙏🙏 If you walk the pet on a leash by where it was found, it might lead you to its home. Knock on doors, too. 💝 This might be helpful. I hope so anyway. Is there enough information in the post? The more information you can add, the better to find your pet or a pet owner. Try Marketplace, Ring app (you don't need the doorbell for the app), next-door, and other sites. Talk to your mail carrier. Please click the three dots upper right and edit to add the cross streets, city, and state if they're not in the post. Breed of pet is also helpful. The date that the pet was lost or found should also be included. Join local lost and found groups for your area and share for more help. Make all posts Public. You should include the original missing date and state on top of your post. Searches on Google and FB go by posts, not groups. It makes it simpler for those of us who search. The city and state especially are very important for those of us who do Google and FB searches for pets. Owners look for their pets at local Shelters and Humane Society. Please call them to let them know you have the pet. Also, pet shops, groomers, and vets might recognize them. So might the mail carrier. Many times, people get the gender of the pet wrong. Please always check in person. Be very careful of people saying they messaged you or asking you to message them. Sometimes, it's someone trying to get a free pet. It is a good idea to meet owners at the police station, especially if or when more than one person is trying to claim the pet. If you decide to do this, let police in on it. They will possibly send someone out to make sure everything goes alright. It is unlikely that a scammer will agree to meeting there. Some legit owners might not either, but it makes it safer for everyone involved. If you decide to use Paw boost, check your emails daily, especially if your pet is lost for a long time. And please add a phone number. Pets have been found and not able to return home because all that is found of old posts is Paw boost with no information and emails are ignored. 😥 You should contact Vets, Groomers, and local pet shops and report them as found to Humane Society, Shelters, and local law enforcement. as well. Fliers could help and so could knocking on doors. A vet will scan for chip for free. If it has a chip, the chip company can be notified, too. Not everyone has internet, and some ppl are not on Facebook. Join other sites like nextdoor, Ring, etc... if they are on FB, they may check other lost and found groups. Check Craigs-list. The Ring app is really good, too! 👍 A quick way to check groups is to click on the pictures link on the homepage. It can save time. 😁👍 Do not answer messages offering a code.
