This kitten showed up two days ago and we finally trapped him. He was found off west Lexington Avenue. Probably 8 weeks or so. Not emaciated but skinny. One white spot on his chest. If his your please send us an email. He safe and on 10 day stray hold.

Laura Mills well, it’s the law. It has be posted with shelter, online social media platform and flyers for 10 days in MY county. I’m a 501c3 rescue. I know how to vet people and what to ask IF someone steps up for this kitten. How would you feel if your kitten escaped and someone said “OH, it’s black, let’s NOT look for its home, in case someone wants to harm it.” Sounds kind of silly. Thank you for your concern though. Applicants will be vetted if owner isn’t found, vetting will be completed and rehomed. 🖤

Thank you, kind human, for keeping this baby kitty safe and contained 🤗 (So many pets are hit and killed before they're able to be safely returned home. 😔) Someone’s kitty out without “permission”? TALK to neighbors… Just a baby. Surely shouldn't be out alone like this 😔 🐾Any vet’s office will scan for microchip for free. 🐾Not everyone is looking for their lost pets online, so it’s important to TALK to neighbors in the area. 🐾Check pawboost for LOST pets; and list kitty as FOUND. 🐾Contact shelter with description and location: may be first place family is looking. 🐾Posting "found cat" on a simple cardboard, along with your phone number, posted close can be extremely helpful. Have any caller identify kitty FIRST (though most are, some people are not good and will claim pets for unkind reasons) 🥹💖 And THANK YOU for caring enough to Act and help make our community a safe and caring place for everyone, especially these vulnerable animals, who rely on humans for their care 💗
