Pat Quinlin McCormick The cat didn't get chipped -- that's a mistake in the original post. I misunderstood what my daughter said. She took it to the vet and they scanned for a micro-chip, they didn't find one, but they didn't put one in either.

Lisa, a question, since you are heavily involved with cats: it seems unusual for the finder of a cat to take it to a vet to be chipped… is this something new that people do?
