Message from Owner

Oreo is 11-12 years old. He is an indoor/outdoor cat. He loves going out before daybreak and always shows up at back door to come back in hse when sun is rising. He was not at back door on Monday, April 27, 2026. He is my bedfellow. We have searched high and low for him and did a drone search last night to no avail. Oreo’s is on New Carlyle Way in Evanwood off North Clear Creek.

Please check up in trees and under low growing shrubs and under decks on your property and ask you neighbors to check their properties. NEVER put food outside unless you are outside with the food. Food WILL attract wild animals that may harm you, harm your cat, and prevent your cat from approaching your house. There are many, many bears roaming around right now looking for food and they eat small animals. NEVER put a cats litter box outside as wild animals will smell it and your cat will become prey. It never ends well for a cat. Try putting some of your unwashed clothing (t-shirt you've worn that still has your scent on it) outside near your door. This may help your confused or lost cat find its way back home. Go IN PERSON as soon as possible to all local animal shelters to search for your cat. The nice people that answer the phones will not know about all the cats dropped off or brought in by Animal Control. Call all veterinary offices to check if someone may have brought your cat in to be scanned for a microchip. Ask them to be on the lookout for your cat. Post photos of your cat at all gas stations, grocery stores, and pet supply stores. Please don't give up on searching for your cat. I'm sure it would much rather be safe inside your home than lost outside.

In addition to this online post, it is VERY important to take flyers door-to-door through your neighborhood. Include vets offices and visable public places. Menion if he is chipped. Offer a REWARD! Many people are not on social media and will not see online posts. They NEED a flyer so they know to watch for him and call if seen! Then do an online search "best ways to locate a lost cat" for expert tips. Follow through with the advise in order to increase your chances of finding him. This will take time and effort on your part, but I'm sure he's worth it! Praying.
