Kathy Dukes-Hubbard I'm not sure owners purposely loose their pets. Sometimes they just run off after Squirrels or in my yard, after a deer. Then they can't find the way home. Micro chips are fine but ours had name tags on their collars. It saved one of our dogs who went out the door after a squirrel and just kept wandering. It's a lot easier to call the number on the name tag than for some people to get a dog in a car to a vet or madaac.

W State st is the closest cross street. Ring camera caught her at the gate but shut off before I could see what direction she went in. Someone told my daughter they saw her going East towards downtown.
