I did hear that if you put his litter box outside if he was not gone for too long he could pick up his smells. Will be praying for you.

Oh I hope you get him back but you will be very lucky especially out in those parts I live in Alpine and I had one run out and he never returned. He had a chip in him. I was always hoping that he would come back but he was too young and was an indoor kitty and had no idea his surroundings.
