Nelson got away from me when I was taking him to the groomers. He is a big boy, 15 pounds. He is not much of an outdoor cat but he does crave attention.

Indoor cats stay close to home. If he got out near your home, tonight go outside with a strong flashlight and another adult and check all of your shrubbery from top down. His eyes will reflect in the light. If you are comfortable keep the door you left from open about 10 inches. You can buy a chain lock with extra links and use that. Usually cats sneak back into their home at night. He wants to be with you. Don't give up. Our cat was missing for 300 days before we got him back. Post on Next a door app and Craig's list. Refresh every five days. Print color Flyers and take with thumb tacks to vet's offices and pet stores and tack on their bulletin boards. Every three days go to all four shelters and post your flyer then look at all cats. Ask to see deceased list. I know that this us a lot, we did it for almost a year, but we got our cat back.

We will be going back this evening and will bring his food and his treats. I will also go at midnight. Thank you so much for the advice. I live 20miles away in the country… but I will be going back. 😢

Go back to the location where he got out, put up waterproof posters in area. Immediately walk area shake treat bag or Bang on cat food can calling for your cat multiple times during the day-and-night especially when it's quiet out. Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meow

Yikes. You need to be going to his last known location in the middle of the nights and searching for him. He is likely hunkered down in fear nearby.
