For the sake of the dog and your mother and you hire a reputable tracker. If you haven't found the dog in the first couple hours hire a tracker if someone's taking the dog in, you'll know right away. Take your photos go door-to-door every house in every neighborhood and include businesses you come across and ask them to check their doorbells and cameras for sightings. The businesses will be harder. Tell them you're just looking for a sighting and a date and time. Be sure to map the location, date and time and share with your tracker. Call all rescue groups in the area, especially breed specific and ask if there are any members who will come and help you search or go door-to-door. Start with a 20 mile radius and add 2 to 5 miles every day of absence. Using the radius of the day, send flyers to all bets and pet stores. If someone takes your dog in for a chip check, they'll already have the information to contact you. Also visit all shelters within the radius of the day, adding new as necessary. You need to go every day since they're so so full in fact over that. So it's hard to hold pets more than three days before putting them up for adoption. I don't know of any shelter that will help you get your pet back once it's adopted. Their purpose is to hopefully find a good home so that they don't have to make any other choices for space. If there's someone that knows your dog well have them help you go to shelters. Once your babies out running around, they don't look as cute as their puppy photos. Keep in mind that your baby is going to be hungry and absolutely positively thirsty in this heat! So it's going to use scent in order to find both. Think about where your dog might go. Especially for water. And shade any place cool. Post on your personal Facebook page 15 times a day one different photo a few different words and good contact info. The more postings the more people see it, ask them to share the more shares the more opportunity to become viral, and everybody has their eyes open for your pup If you decide to put out posters better, make them waterproof. We have a lot of rain coming. One huge good photo big word, loss and large contact info. Remember people are going to try and see this while driving. Try stop signs, especially in or out of neighborhoods and stoplights. Places where people have the opportunity to see it read it and maybe snap a photo of the information . Wishing you all the best and I'm sharing.
