Hi, I was the one who spotted this cat who I assume is a female based on her purple collar with no tag. She was at 122 Court St., New Haven on 07/25 at 6 PM. It was a private parking lot that you pay for and I saw her resting under a car that was parked on spot #33. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get somewhere so I couldn’t take her in at the time but managed to snap photos and interact with her. I returned later that night in hopes to see her but she seemed to be gone, I left a small plastic container of dried cat food. Just checked her this morning (07/26) and she didn’t seem to be there nor was the food touched. She was a bit skittish at first but warmed up to me when I pspspspspsps. She seemed to be on the chonky side since she had a fat pad and is possibly pregnant since her we’re visible. I also noticed some matting in her dorsal area which could be because she was out on the streets for some time now and couldn’t groom herself, or because she’s just chonky and couldn’t get to that part of her back, or that she escaped a hoarding situation. The bakery on the same building around the corner is called Sweet Mary’s Bake Shop. I’ve informed the person who works there that I’ve spotted this cat and showed her a pic and gave her my number if anyone is seeking more info or inquires.
