Please help us bring our Baby Boy .** General Lee is not just a missing pet; he is the absolute anchor of the Turtletown Hounds rescue mission. He is a full-grown (~1.5 years old) Labrador/Bully mix. He has a solid, high-gloss black coat, four distinct white paws (socks), and a **LARGE SOLID WHITE CHEST BLAZE.** *(Please note: his white chest is a solid white field with absolutely no dark spots inside of it).* **His Temperament:** General Lee is the definition of a "Momma's Boy"—he is incredibly sweet, gentle, and deeply loved. However, right now he is displaced, terrified, and operating in survival mode. He is actively in training for our "Purposeful Placement" pipeline as an American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) therapy dog prospect. He is being forged to serve the elderly and children in our Appalachian community. He has a beautiful soul, but because he is scared, his startle reflex is high right now. **Public Safety Mandate:** **DO NOT CHASE.** If you see him, please do not run after him or call out aggressively. Sit down, avoid direct eye contact to show you are not a threat, and call me immediately. **Protected Working Dog Status:** Please be aware that because General Lee is a verified working therapy dog candidate in active training, he carries elevated legal protections. Under Tennessee Code Ann. § 39-14-216, knowingly interfering with, harboring, or harming a service/therapy animal in training is a criminal offense requiring full financial restitution for his specialized training and replacement value [2, 3]. Cross-jurisdictional protections also apply under Georgia HB 668 (The Mara Jade Act), which establishes severe felony penalties for harming a working dog [2, 3].
