Message from Owner

Please call or text immediately if you see our cat, Leah! Our family is completely heartbroken, and we are asking for your help to find her. We have three cats at home, but Leah has been with us the longest. She is a foundational part of our family and simply the best cat we have ever had. She is a light orange, short-haired cat with a pale chin and a pink nose. We lovingly joke that she has gotten pretty chunky lately, which just means there is more of her for us to love. Leah is incredibly gentle and amazing with our kids. She is undoubtedly their favorite. She has a nightly routine that she never misses. Every single night, Leah comes right into my daughter's room to settle in and keep her company for bedtime. Bedtime just is not the same right now, and our hse feels so empty without Leah's loud, comforting purr. She truly has the loudest purr you will ever hear, and we are missing it dearly. She is so much more than just a pet to us. She is a comforting presence for our children and our longest furry companion. Please keep an eye out for a chunky, pale orange cat in the neighborhood. Please help us bring Leah back to her family. Call Pedro at day or night with any sightings.

Put food out, post on NextDoor, Pawboost, Pet FBI, put up flyers everywhere, distribute mini flyers to your neighbors withing a 6 block radius including your mail carrier, fedex, and ups delivery guys, Check neighbors sheds, garages, window wells, under decks, porches and anywhere they could be hiding. Look up~ cats do get stuck in trees or light posts. Many people think they can get down themselves but Ive seen many situations where they've needed to be rescued after many days being stuck. Cats get themselves in many predictaments. Check with rescues, humane societies and animals control and follow up with them consistently! Set a live trap with canned tuna (for hard to trap cats I used a mixture of tuna, oysters and sardines) Cover the trap and always monitor it for the safety of your cat and to also make sure you dont catch wildlife. No matter how friendly a cat may be, indoor-only cats tend to become skittiish once outside and in unfamiliar territory, and usually hide nearby and often too scared to come to owners voice. They also usually try to enter the way the escaped, so if its safe to do that, leave that open. That did work for one of my very shy cats before. Time is crucial. Praying you find your cat soon and safe. Trapping was the only way to get my kitty back in after she scratched a hole through the screen and escaped. The flyers helped me figure out that she was hiding a couple of blocks away, because people called me with sightings. She was scared to come to anyone, even me. I set traps and eventually caught her. My advice I posted isnt something I just got off the internet, its literally my own personally experience and also experience from doing rescue and helping others. I pray you get your cat back. I know how heartwrenching it was when my baby was out there.

Agreed. Too many pet sitters, at least on FB, have lost pets they are taking care of. Pets who are not spayed/neutered have difficult lives and can get into a lot of problems. People are stealing pets, especially the more expensive dog breeds. It's very sad.

Lena Vannella do you think it's the fact that a lot of pets that aren't fixed go into heat I feel like I have never seen more missing lost pets in my entire life of living on Facebook in Minneapolis I pray to God people are not stealing pets but I can't other than nature and pets that aren't fixed in heat getting out or people just being absent minded I've seen a couple stories about pet sitters that lost the client's pets I will tell you this I don't think I ever want to hire a stranger to watch my pet because honestly I know there's a ton of responsible people but I cannot believe the number of pets cats and dogs that have gone missing in the last month or two it's insane 😭😵‍💫🫨🤯

No matter how long your kitty has been gone, stay vigilant with all lost cat protocols and advice - kitty may have been taken in by a well meaning person and could be very near - keep posters and flyers fresh and communications current with local animal control, vets, and rescues for new leads - keep the faith 💪🏼 Use whatever is applicable in the following for your situation: Extra strength prayers your kitty is safe nearby (cats usually stay in the vicinity) and home very very soon - put their food and warm shelter outside your door in a protected area and/or in your garage - diligently canvas the area and local businesses with large colorful posters and flyers - contact local animal control, vets, and rescues for any possible leads - cross post on neighborhood/community FB pages for further reach - cats are superior survivalists - stay vigilant in searching and don’t lose hope 🙏🏻❤️💪🏼 P.s. Beware of scammers saying they have found your kitty and to message them your contact information. And also how an Instagram/FB site helped them find their pet - don't click on site. All BS scammers. 🙏❤️💪🏼
