I was just involved in a search and rescue for a small dog on Sunday and these are the tips that we got and helped as the dog returned on his own. I hope they can help and praying for Sophie’s safe return… ****** “‼️ PLEASE DON’T CHASE. He is running scared. Please don’t call his name, whistle, clap. Only the owners should say his name. If scared out of hiding he may run blindly into traffic. Call number posted immediately if you see him. The owners are the most likely to secure him. If you do come upon him and he doesn’t run get down on the ground. Don’t look at him. See if he will approach, and if you can get a drone, that can really help. If not don’t chase him further. Just keep eyes on him until owners can get there. ‼️ Owners were instructed to sleep in driveway from where he took offf from and he returned about 9-10 hours later.”
